The plasma blast seared the side Warthog leaving a scorched spot. Lt. Jame.L.Kimble's Breath increased. It had been a simply mission. A Covenant Platoon had taken over a human weapons research facility. Lt. James and the rest of his squad were supposed to over take the Covenant forces and save any survivors. Things had not gone as planned. The Covenant had brought more then a Platoon. There were at least forty plus troops held up in the research facility. It was almost as if they were expecting a major threat, could that threat be inside the weapon facility. James brought himself back into the present as he heard the cocky outcry from the Elite that had manged to pin him down behind the Warthog."Human." The voice called out, it was load and filled to the brim with pride."Just give up and surrender, your forces have all been killed and you have no way of contacting " The Elite said with a laugh and for an extra measure fired to more plasma shot into the side of the Warthog. Jame looked down at the BR-Rifle in his hands. He still about 60 bullets left, though that was nothing compared to the force of elites and grunts that stood in the way of his mission. There was no way that he would be getting out of this."Your Race is pathetic and weak, you shall all be but dust when the time of the great journey comes. Still I admire you will to live. Shame that I have to kill you." The Elite muttered and for a second James though he heard some remorse in the Elites voice."Well what are you waiting for? Go gut him!" The Elite screamed and the sound of energy swords activating sounded echoed about, sending chills up Jame's back. Jame sighed as he realized that he might as well die a fighter then a coward. and stood up. He reloaded his gun, and then after saying a payer rushed around the side of the warthog. He was met by a single blue armored elite who came rushing at him. Each held a blue glowing in one hand. The first gave a mad swing at James. James ducked and rolled to the side of Elite. He opened fire on the Elite which took shot after shoot in the as it rushed him again. Another mad thing of the sword, James sidestepped the slash as the sword came slamming down on the stop where he was just standing. James gave a desperate kick at the Elite. The Elite, who had yet to recover from swing his sword the second him as hit right in the side and sent toppling over. Hitting the ground with a sicking thud. Jame raised his BR-Rifle at the Elites head. A smile was on his face."Any last words?" James as asked as he looked the Elite in its eyes. The Elite chuckled. James eyes were cold as ice as he pulled back on the trigger. Suddenly a pain raced though his body and James coughed up blood. A single energy sword stuck out of Jame's body. With the last of his strength James looked over his shoulder to see another blue Elite, who invisibility was wearing off as it snicked at his foolish mistake. With a grunt it pulled the blade out of Jame's body. James limb body fell down onto its knees and then fell flat on its face. The first Elite gave a laugh as it stood back up and walked over to James dead body. It gave it a small kick."I have no word for such a worthless being." It said as he pit on the body."Lets move on." it said to the other elite."yes sir."
